Dance More Studios loves to participate in our home communities.  In one photo, we see Mr. Luis Molina leading a Kindergarten through second grade Hip Hop class at Onondaga Road Elementary School during Enrichment Day.  We spent a few hours at the school and worked with kids from K-5 on both Hip Hop and Ballet.  We had a blast and got to meet and work with a great group of kids.  This is just one way that Dance More is helping to make a difference in the Camillus Community.

On multiple occasions, Dance More Studios, and The Tangible Dance Company have had the opportunity to perform at the West Genesee Culture Fair.  Above we see Mr. Luis and Ms. Heather performing a salsa number called, "La Loca Juventude".  We also performed an Afro-Cuban number entitled "Simba".  We were proud to represent the Cuban culture with dance.  We were able to share a snippet of Cuban daily life with the Camillus community.  It was great to meet our neighbors and share a part of our culture at the same time.

In our LaFayette Community we have had the opportunity to provide the local Girl Scout troop with dance instruction for their Daddy/Daughter Dance!  We worked with dozens of dancers, teaching them a minuet and later on a sweet swing dance.  The daughters felt like princesses and the Daddies were so proud of their little ones.  It is our absolute pleasure to share dance and bring joy to those who thought that dance was beyond them.  This was just another way we were able to share the enjoyment of dance with our local community.

We have participated in the LaFayette Applefest for the last several years.  This allows our dancers to give their time while performing for their community.  This is a free performance and it serves to entertain our local (and not so local) community.  Our crowds keep getting bigger, and last year, it was standing room only!

In our Auburn community, we performed for the elderly in our Tangible Dance Christmas Performance.  It was absolutely heartwarming to see feet tapping and smiles beaming from our audience.  What a special performance!  This is one of the most rewarding moments of the year for us!

Lined up for next year in Auburn, is a performance at the Tomatofest.  This is another opportunity to show our support for our local community and demonstrate our love of dance with those in the area.  We look forward to sharing our hard work with those we live and work with.

Be on the look out for the following community outreach activities in the near future!

  • We will be working with the Montessori School of the Finger Lakes to host a winter carnival/fundraiser
  • We will be contributing, through our PIPs program to local charities
  • We look forward to sponsoring a scholarship for dance in our local communities
  • We will be raising money for Hospice in our local communities
  • We look for more opportunities to work with the children in our communities to share the love of dance with them.
